Removing Trace & Log Files from CUCM

Hi All

So you have been running your CUCM environment for a while and have forgot and left your detailed traces on and when reviewing your disk space with something lke RTMT (Real Time Monitoring Tool) you are running out of disk space

Below will allow you to remove all of the traces/logs from the CUCM environment from the CLI

Open a SSH session to the CUCM server then run the following commands

To see all of the trace folders type in the following

file list activelog /cm/trace/*

To see all of the CUCM SDI traces type in the following

file list activelog /cm/trace/ccm/sdi/*

now to delete them, type the following

file delete activelog /cm/trace/ccm/sdi/* noconfirm

DO NOT forget the noconfirm, otherwise you will be asked if you’re sure you want to delete EVERY file individually.

This process will remove all trace files from the trace file location and free up the all important disk space.

Enjoy…..
